Viopark

The VioPark eco-plantation is a unique project launched by the DAAC-Hermes holding and its subsidiary Viorica. The main purpose of the plantation is to cultivate eco-pure plants while following the principles of permaculture.

VioPark is home to dozens of medicinal plants used as raw materials in the production of our cosmetics. We control every stage of plant growth to ensure ecological purity and a high content of active substances.

The plantation is located about 60 km west of Chișinău, near the village of Vărvăreuca in the Anenii Noi district, covering 130 hectares. It sits in an ecologically clean region near the Nistru river and includes several interconnected small lakes.

Permaculture, or permanent agriculture, is a concept for designing the natural environment and an agricultural system that mimics the relationships of a natural ecosystem. This approach is also applied at VioPark.

The VioPark project was developed and implemented with the support of Sepp Holzer, an international expert in ecological agriculture and a world-renowned leader in permaculture.

Plants at VioPark are not treated with chemicals, and the soil is fertilized only with substances of natural origin. In these near-wild conditions, plants develop a high content of active substances and beneficial phytochemicals, such as salvestrols and adaptogens with healing properties.

The vegetable oils, flower extracts, plants and roots used in Viorica products come largely from crops grown at VioPark. This allows us to guarantee the purity and high effectiveness of our ingredients.

In 2020, the VioPark eco-plantation received official certification under Law No. 115 on ecological agri-food production. Adaptogens are substances that increase the body's resistance to stress factors and are essential for maintaining health.
